Jesus questions and reinstates Peter

Bible 1
After seeing Jesus had risen from the dead, when He appeared to them in Jerusalem, the disciples went back to Galilee as Jesus had asked them. Peter suggested they go fishing and six others joined him.
Bible 2
In the boat was Simon Peter, James, John, Thomas, Nathanael and two other disciples. They fished all that night but caught nothing.
Bible 3
Early the next morning, Jesus appeared on the shore but those in the boat could not see it was Jesus. ‘Friends, have you caught any fish?’ Jesus asked. ‘No,’ they replied.

Bible 4
‘Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some,’ Jesus shouted. They obeyed.
Bible 5
They struggled to haul the net in because of the large number of fish they caught.
Bible 6
At once, John knew it was Jesus on the shore and shouted, ‘It’s the Lord.’ Immediately, Peter wrapped his outer garment around him and jumped in the water to swim to Jesus.

Bible 7
The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish. They were about a hundred yards (100m) from the shore. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.
Bible 8
Jesus told them to bring in their catch. They counted 153 large fish. ‘Come and have breakfast,’ said Jesus and gave them bread and fish to eat. They all knew it was the risen Lord Jesus – the third time they had seen Him alive after He had been crucified.
Bible 9
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’

Bible 10
‘Yes, Lord,’ he said, ‘you know that I love you.’ Jesus replied, ‘Feed my lambs.’
Bible 11
Then again, Jesus asked, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’
Bible 12
Peter answered, ‘Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.’
Jesus said, ‘Take care of my sheep.’

Bible 13
But Jesus was not finished. A third time He asked, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’
Bible 14
Peter was hurt that Jesus had asked him this question a third time. ‘Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you.’
Jesus replied, ‘Feed my sheep.’

Bible 15
Jesus then told Simon Peter how he would die to glorify God. ‘When you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted. But, when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.’
Bible 16
Peter saw that John was following behind them. ‘Lord, what about him?’ he asked.
‘If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? Jesus answered. You must follow me.’

Jesus questions and reinstates Peter
Having denied Jesus three times, Peter is asked three times by Jesus about his love for Him.
John 21:1-25
